What are the protocols and ports used in SRAS?

Modified on Mon, 13 May at 9:58 AM

SRAS is a powerful tool that enables you to remotely connect to your devices.

Some networks are closed off with a firewall, not allowing any traffic to go outside. In order to be able to reach SRASsome outbound ports need to be opened in the network's firewall (not on CloudGate itself).

SRAS uses the following protocols:

  • between the Cloudgate and the server: OpenVPN
  • between your device (PC, phone, tablet) and the server: L2TP over IPSec

The required outbound ports for the cloudgate are:
  • 123 (ntp)
  • 8883/8884 (mqtt)
  • 1194 (openvpn)

The CloudGate should be allowed to contact *.5abox.com including mqtt.5abox.com (IP: 91.134.135.103)
