Modified on Mon, 15 Jul at 1:33 PM

This is the final step in setting up your CloudGate.

Please follow the instructions below carefully.

  1. Browse to the “Main Menu” →  “Applications” tab.

  2. In the CloudGate wizzard overview page, enable "Modbus slave" on the output side and click on its Configuration.

  3. To change the port used and the maximum number of connections allowed, click on "Modbus configuration" under the Configuration settings.

  4. To reset the modbus configuration to its default values click on "Default configuration" under Settings.

  5. All enabled devices and objects on the LoRa page are available under the Modbus objects section.

For the object(s) to be available and displayed here, on the LoRa side you need to:

  • enable the devices and the objects
  • assign an ID to the device(s) (field: My Device ID) and objects (field: My Object ID)
  • The device must have a custom property named modbus.slaveid with a unique value between 1 and 247 (e.g. modbus.slaveid=123)
  • Data uploads must be enabled

Congratulations, your CloudGate is now fully configured to connect to your Modbus Master.
