Step 2: Connecting a Bacnet device

In this step we explain how you can connect a BACnet device to the CloudGate using CloudWizzard.

Please follow the instructions below carefully.


  1. Browse to the “Main Menu” →  “Applications” tab.

  2. Enable “Bacnet” in the input section. A button called “<-Bacnet” will appear on the right side.
    Please note! It can take up to 30seconds before the Bacnet page is loaded!
  3. Click on this “Bacnet” button to add a new BACnet device.


  1. In the "Bacnet setup" section you will find 5 subsections. fill in the settings of your BACnet device under "Settings" and then click on "Save changes":


  1. After you have filled in the settings you can here scan for BACnet devices, and if wanted immediately do a discovery on all found devices. You can see the status of this scan in the textbox next to "Status":


  2. Under "Devices" you can see an overview of the BACnet devices as well as give manual read/read&upload commands:


  3. Only the BACnet objects that are enabled will be read out. To enable an object follow these steps:
    • Click on the magnifying glass next to the BACnet device:
    • Click on the magnifying glass next to the object that you want to enable:
    • Set "Enabled" to "Yes" and click on "Save":
    • You can see whether or not a device is enabled by the check sign under "Enabled" in the devices overview:
  4. Scroll down to the "Data Upload" section and set Enabled to Yes in order to make the selected Objects of this device available for being sent to the Output.
    Next you have to set an interval for the data uploads. Make sure to press the "Safe changes" button.
    Congratulations, your BACnet device is now connected to your CloudGate. You can proceed to the next step.
